Eligibility requirements for business owners
Do you offer accounts to business owners under 18?
Not at the moment. Right now, we can only offer accounts to businesses where all business owners with 25% or more ownership are 18+ years of age.
Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to open an account?
Not necessarily, but you do have to be a U.S. resident with a Social Security number, a U.S. address, and a U.S. phone number.
Azlo can offer accounts to many Permanent Residents (Green Card holders), as well as many temporary U.S. residents with the following visa types:
H visa (any category)
L visa (any category)
O visa (any category)
P Visa (any category)
If you’re a non-citizen applicant, we will need specific verifying documents (a copy of your current passport and Permanent Resident Card or visa) to complete your application. We may also need to gather additional details about your business.
How do these eligibility requirements apply to businesses with multiple owners?
If your business has more than one owner, each person with 25% or more ownership must meet our normal eligibility requirements.
- We are only able to offer accounts to businesses that are based in the U.S.
- Azlo offers accounts to sole proprietors, general partnerships, LLCs, corporations, and nonprofit organizations. You can learn more about these business types in our Business types and structures article.
- We are not currently able to support accounts for limited partnerships or limited liability partnerships.
- There are a few specific industry types (such as internet gambling, certain money services businesses, and businesses that exchange cryptocurrency or cannabis) that we cannot support.
