Sending bank-to-bank payments

There are three different types of payments that you can make with Azlo. This article covers electronic bank-to-bank payments; we also have an article on paying billers or mailing a check.

Bank-to-bank payments are similar to direct deposit, and you can send one to anyone as long as you have their bank account and routing number. Here's how.

  1. Log in to your Azlo account on the web or our mobile app.
  2. Select the Move money button.
  3. From here, you can select an existing contact or start typing to add a new contact.
  4. Once you’ve selected a contact, choose Send Payment.
  5. Enter the amount you’d like to send.
  6. You’ll have the option to schedule the payment for a future date (click or tap the calendar icon!) or add a note for yourself.
  7. Confirm your payment.

How long do these payments take? 

  • Bank-to-bank payments typically arrive within 1-3 business days. If you schedule a transfer before 5:15 pm PT (8:15 pm ET) on a business day, it will start processing that day. 
  • If the person you're paying happens to have an account with Azlo, Simple, or BBVA USA, the payment will be nearly instant. 

Can I cancel a payment?

If you schedule a payment for a future date, you can cancel it up until the day the payment is sent. After that, the payment can’t be canceled. Payments that are scheduled same-day start processing immediately and cannot be canceled.

Here’s how to locate and cancel an upcoming bank-to-bank payment.

On the web

  1. Log in to your Azlo account.
  2. Click See all at the top of your transaction list.
  3. Select Upcoming to view your scheduled transactions.
  4. Click on the payment you’d like to cancel, and then click the Cancel payment button.
  5. You’ll be asked to confirm, and then the payment will be canceled.

On the mobile app

  1. Log in to your Azlo account
  2. Tap History at the top of your transaction list.
  3. Select Upcoming to view your scheduled transactions.
  4. Tap the payment you’d like to cancel, and then tap the trash icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
  5. You’ll be asked to confirm, and then the payment will be canceled.

Where can I send payments?

Right now, you can send payments anywhere in the U.S. We’re working to offer international payments in the future, and we’ll keep you posted as we have news on that front.
