Doing your taxes with Azlo

Paying your taxes

There are a couple ways to pay your taxes with Azlo:

  • You can provide your account and routing number so the payment is automatically debited from your account.
  • The IRS and some states accept card payments; if you’re paying one of these tax entities you can pay with your Azlo debit card. If you choose this option, keep our $8,000 daily card limit in mind.
  • It isn’t possible to use our bill pay service for tax payments, so if you’d like to mail in your tax payment the best option is a money order. You can purchase money orders for a small fee with your Azlo card at USPS offices and certain grocery stores.

Depositing your refund

There are two ways to deposit your refund into an Azlo account:

  • You can have the funds directly deposited by providing your Azlo account and routing number. This is generally the fastest and easiest option.
  • You can get a check and deposit it by mail. (We aren’t able to accept U.S. Treasury checks via mobile deposit.) To deposit a check by mail, endorse the check by signing it and writing "For deposit only - Azlo" on the back, and write your account number under the endorsement. Then send it to one of the following addresses.
    • For standard mail:
      • BBVA USA
        Azlo Bank by Mail
        Attention: Vault Services
        P.O. Box 515
        Birmingham, AL 35201-0515
    • For overnight delivery:
      • BBVA USA
        Azlo Bank by Mail
        Attention: Vault Services
        701 32nd Street South
        Birmingham, AL 35233

One important note: You can only deposit refunds in your name or the business name, and we cannot accept joint tax refunds.

Once you have filed your return, you can track your refund on the IRS website: https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Will you send an 1099-INT?

No, under normal circumstances you won’t get a 1099-INT from Azlo. This is because a 1099-INT is only required if your account earns $10 or more in interest or other value, and Azlo accounts do not currently earn interest.

Gathering transaction records

An important step in filing your business taxes is gathering and organizing your business transactions.

You can use Azlo alongside most accounting software, including QuickBooks Online, Wave, and Xero. You can also download your Azlo transactions in CSV format. If you need monthly statements, you can download them as well.

If you’d like to start tagging and organizing transactions for future tax seasons, take a moment to read through our Tagging and filtering transactions article.
